Kingdom Culture Momentum

Movement is essential to our health and life. Staying fluid in motion ~ constantly allowing ourselves to be stretched, rebuilt, and flexible produces strength, agility, and readiness for whatever is new and next. In the same way, as the Family of Believers, we are called to create kingdom ripples of love in the world, living as humble and authentic agents of lasting change. We are designed to influence culture and society, and each one of us has a unique and important responsibility to catalytically create momentum. With Jesus as the source of our momentum, we live out the foundational truths that flow from Him, infuse ourselves with spiritual energy, and help inspire others, and so experience the power of the Gospel transforming the world!

What We Believe

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible - both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in our lives on all matters to which they speak.

TRINITY

We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct but harmonious roles in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

GOD

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women, hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

JESUS

We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He is not only true God, but true man conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, His perfect model for all of life, and His personal, visible, return from heaven.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration, sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and implement Christ’s work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service.

PEOPLE

We believe God created humanity, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. We further believe all people are sinners by nature and choice and are, therefore, spiritually dead. However, we also believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

SALVATION

We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, and was purchased by Christ on the cross, and is received through faith apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

CHURCH

We believe that the Church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head and is composed of all people who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and have become children of God. This Family expresses itself in local assemblies and join together for fellowship, worship, instruction, evangelism, and service. The ordinances of the local church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We also believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of Christians to each other in love.

CHURCH & STATE

We believe that each local church must be free from interference by any political authority. We also believe all men and women are directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life, and that they should be free to worship God according to the dictates of their consciences.

CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe that the supreme task of every believer is to glorify God in life and conduct and be righteous, holy, and true. Each Christian should be a faithful steward of all possessions and seek to realize in every area of life the full stature of maturity in Christ.

CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE

We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in an exclusive relationship. We believe that God designed sexual initmacy to occur only between a married couple within the bounds of that relationship alone.

LAST TIMES

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, the eternal existence of all people in either heaven or hell, in divine judgments and rewards.

About Our Logo

ROL Final Logo.png

The Triskele or Triskelion form in our logo for River of Life is a Triple Spiral that is ancient in it’s origins. It appears regularly in Christian illuminated manuscripts and in stone carvings engraved on Celtic Christian High crosses from the 7th-8th Century AD. Like the Triquetra (as depicted on the cover of the New King James Bible, and at the center of our logo), the symbolic meaning is depicting The Triune God, and the inner Tiquetra represents the tripartide essence of people - made up of spirit, soul, and body. The Triskele has often been referred to as Life's Spiral. Designed with a continuous interwoven line, it represents life's movement and the three-part chronological elements of our life flow (the past, present and future). Because of the Triskele's dynamic symbolism it beautifully represents our calling to move forward no matter what the circumstances. It is a major symbol for spiritual strength, synergy and fluid motion..
