A prophetic vision of the heartbeat of God while standing at the foot of the Cross.

The painting here is titled, “Revealed.” Romans 8:18 came to me as I decided a title for this piece. I previously knew that this work would be named “Revealed,” but as I searched the bible about what it says about revealing I found this appropriate verse. The verse reads, “for I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” As I begin to dissect this piece by explaining my thought process and what I believe it means, understand that God is always one step ahead. What I believe this work means might be interpreted differently by you. This is God working through me for you.

That shape, surrounded by the ordinary, emerges as a symbol of significance spanning across space and time. An image defying and defining all other shapes. Out of the plain arises a vision of the most incredible integration of horizontal and vertical: the ultimate intersection of Heaven’s love for humanity. The Cross stands as a stark emblem of a Faith that reaches across the ages, tainted by the uncertainty of the times. This sacred delineated shape, centered among the maze of the mundane, represents God’s amazing grace: ever simple but never sublime.

The life flowing redemptive work of God flowing from heaven’s throne into our broken vessels to fill us up with promise and pour us out with love.

An emotive depiction of celebration and joy!

On the week after the 2020 election, during the Corona Virus, I found myself drawing a Celtic Thistle. I asked God to help me understand it's significance on a day like today. ~ The Celtic symbol of the Thistle signifies courage and loyalty in the face of treachery.
